Business Continuity Management

Business continuity is capability of the organization to continue delivery of products or services at acceptable predefined levels following disruptive incident. It has become critically important in today’s globally connected economy. The focus of business continuity management is largely shifted from the historical focus exclusively on information systems and it includes today recovery of all critical business processes.

Business continuity management is holistic management process that identifies potential threats to an organization and the impacts to business operations those threats, if realized, might cause, and which provides a framework for building organizational resilience with the capability of an effective response that safeguards the interests of its key stakeholders, reputation, brand and value-creating activities.

Belox BCM methodology is based on ISO 22301 (ISO 22301:2012 Societal security - Business continuity management systems - Requirements), the first international standard focused exclusively on business continuity. The purpose of ISO 22301 standard is to enable organizations to protect against, reduce the likelihood of occurrence, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents when they arise by establishing, operating, and continuously improving a business continuity management process.
